The Fetzer institute has stipulated structural contracts with Eranos since the period 2007-2010 and has recently renewed the contract for another 3-year period.

The Fetzer Institute has been the main organiser of the Eranos Tagung 2010 and organised in 2011 wthe workshop Love in musical Arts

Monte Verità di Ascona

A location dedicated to utopy and visions

The history of the Monte Verità of Ascona is long and thrilling.

The settlement of some groups of persons who refused the conventional way of life and were seeking for a closer contact with spirit and nature gave rise towards the beginning of the last century to this long tradition.

To avoid private speculation and to maintain the public interest of the site, a Foundation was created, with the purpose of valorising the location as a place for encounters for scientifically and socially relevant topics.

The Eranos Foundation has some privileged links with the foundation Monte Verità.

These collaborations allow a better logistics for meetings and conference organisation and for hosting of participants as well as the planning of events of common epistemological and cultural interest.

  • 1975 BSI's business expands to the French-speaking areas of Switzerland
  • 1976 BSI opens its first representative office in South America - in Caracas, Venezuela
  • 1981 Opening of a representative office in Hong Kong
  • 1988 BSI opens in Monte Carlo, Principality of Monaco
  • 1998 Assicurazioni Generali, Trieste, becomes the sole shareholder
  • 2000 From 1 January, Banca della Svizzera Italiana is officially called BSI AG. BSI opens the Lausanne branch
  • 2005 Opens BSI Bank Ltd in Singapore
  • 2006 BSI acquires Banca Unione di Credito
  • 2008 BSI acquires Banca del Gottardo and opens a representative office in Bahrain
